Protection of Personal Data

LONGITUDE Unipessoal Lda. is responsible for the collection, processing, use, storage, as well as the communication of data to third parties under strictly legal obligations.

Personal data may be transmitted to third parties, such as FAREHARBOR, a Booking.com company, who manages our booking system, and to the company that issues our invoices and receipts, MOLONI.

LONGITUDE attaches great importance to the protection of personal data and collects, processes and uses personal data exclusively in accordance with the following principles:

  1. Collection of personal data

1.1. Contact details

Contact details such as name, telephone number and email address are collected for use solely in contacts within the scope of booking tours and services provided by the company.

1.2. Data for issuing receipts and invoices

Data is required to issue receipts and invoices – billing name, tax identification number (NIF), telephone number and full address (address, postal code and city).

This data is entered into a billing program of an external company from whom LONGITUDE has contracted the service, with the connection established through a security certificate with 256-bit encryption, which means that the data will always be protected from third parties.

The data will also be kept on invoices and other documents, on paper, at the company that provides the accounting service, only during the legal period defined by the Tax and Customs Authority.

Access to and management of your personal data may only be carried out by identified members of LONGITUDE.

2.2. Transfer of personal data

There will be no unauthorized transfer of personal data to third parties, and they will only be used in the commercial relationship between LONGITUDE and the customer and in compliance with strictly legal obligations.

  1. Security

Personal data stored on paper is protected in locked facilities with limited access to people authorized by the company.

Data stored in electronic media is protected by password and/or encryption.

  1. Cookies

The LONGITUDE website uses cookies to improve navigation by installing a small file on the user’s computer that records their preferences. Cookies do not record or retain any personal data. However, the user can remove them by accessing their browser settings. By accessing our website, the user acknowledges our personal data protection policy and accepts the placement of cookies by LONGITUDE on their computer.

  1. Right to information and correction, deletion or blocking of personal data

The customer has the right to receive, free of charge, information about the data that has been stored in relation to him/her and, if applicable, the right to correct, block or delete this data. For this purpose and for any additional questions you may have regarding data protection and the processing of your personal data, you should contact the company using the usual contact details published on the portal www.en.longitude.pt.

  1. Right to withdraw authorizations

Authorizations given by the customer for the collection, processing and use of data, with the exception of those resulting from a legal obligation, may be withdrawn by the customer at any time.
